Gaultstats Cheltenham Festival Trends

Did you know that no trainer has ever won the Champion Hurdle, Champion Chase and Gold Cup in the same year?

Can Nicky Henderson overcome this stat?
The last three Triumph Hurdle favourites have won.  This century no Festival race has been won by four successive different favourites.

Does this cause a problem for Apples Shakira?

All this information and more can be found on gaultstats.com, the labour of love of Bryan Gault, a northern on-course bookmakers clerk.

Bryan produces over 35,000 words each year on the site.  There is a page of trends and stats for each race, a view as to which bookmakers you might use and also how to maximise the benefit of their Free Bet Offers.

There are stats about jockeys, trainers, Fate of The Favourites, Racing Post Tipsters and even a quiz.  Although Bryan confesses to using to using the site mainly for his own betting purposes, each year he asks those visiting to contribute via the justgiving link to a charity.

Access to the site is free.  In 2017 from over 5500 unique users he was able to raise £2500 for North Down Samaritans. This year he asks for donations for Guide Dogs For The Blind because there has never been more need for Guide Dogs.   Euro or sterling gratefully accepted. On each day at the Festival Bryan will post tips, for each race.

This will be from his view of best value from gaultstats. He says, 'Last year I was very fortunate to tip Tiger Roll and Pacha Du Polder both returned at 16/1.  However, as we all know, past glories are no guarantee of future success!

According to solid Gold Cup stats, Might Bite and Road To Respect are the only ones that can win it. However if it stays wet, Definitly Red at 16/1 ew is value.'

Bryan will be working at Kirkiston p2p this Saturday for Dan Carlin.  'You see good horses at Kirkiston, Petit Mouchoir won there on his first ever run. At the last p2p there on the 10th February we witnessed a fine win by Morning Assembly.'  Come along, support the hunt and Gaultstats.

Bryan will have a collecting bucket at Dan's pitch to support Guide Dogs For The Blind.
