Eddies Miracle among nine entered for Down Royal Hunter Chase

The 2018 renewal of the Daily Mirror Hunters Chase at Down Royal on St. Patrick’s Day has attracted an entry of nine with some recent winners from this season amongst the possible line-up.

The David Christie-trained Eddies Miracle, who was a winner at Ballinaboola in November and also at Tyrella in January, was entered in this Cheltenham Foxhunters on Friday but will now stay this side of the water for his next start.

The ten-year-old son of Beat Of Drums was a four-time winner last season for his connections.

Allannahs Gold registered his first win under rules when he scored in the Fairyhouse maiden hunter chase under Derek O’Connor for the Declan Queally yard.

The son of Golden Tornado was runner-up to Sydney Paget at Lismore having won also won at Nenagh at the end of January.

2016 Stratford hunter chase winner and Tyrella open runner-up, Quiet Account represents the Colin McBratney yard and was runner-up to Maple Mons in this race 12 months ago.

Lagan Island has won on his last three point-to-point starts for the Sean McParlan yard, who has previously won this race twice with Big Zoom, could make his first appearance on the track for his owner P.J. McCartan.

The Peter Maher-trained Enniskillen, who was a winner of the Farmers race at Punchestown in February along with the Fairyhouse Hunter chase runner-up Sizingdowntherhine, are also amongst entries for the 2m3f contest.
