Rescheduled Joseph O'Reilly Hunter Chase Entries

Following the cancellation of the final day of the Fairyhouse Easter meeting , the rescheduled meeting will now take place on Tuesday and will stage the 2018 renewal of the Meath GAA Joseph R.O'Reilly hunters chase.

The Sean McParlan-trained Lagan Island, who won his fourth consecutive point-to-point at Tyrella recently, could make his first appearance on the track for his owner, P J McCartan.

The seven-year-old son of Trans Island registered his first career success at Loughanmore in April and has been a decent servant to his connections this season.

Wilcosdiana (pictured), who was the comfortable winner of the Cork hunters chase on Easter Monday, could bid for her third success in this race category for her handler, Eugene O’Sullivan who won this race in 2015 with Drawn N Drank who also holds an entry in this year’s race.

The daughter of Flemenesfirth was a winner twice this season at Rathcannon in October and again in the hunter chase at Cork in November.

The Declan Queally-trained Fenno’s Storm, who registered his first win under rules when he scored in the Tetratema Cup hunters chase at Gowran Park earlier in the month, is also amongst the initial entries. A winner at Bandon at the end of February, Fenno’s Storm provided Queally with his 200th point-to-point winner in the saddle.

Venitien De Mai who was just half a length behind Fenno’s Storm at Gowran Park, is one of two entries made by Jim Dreaper as he is also joined by Sizing Coal who was a convincing winner of the AtTheRaces hunter chase at Fairyhouse on his latest start, beating Rossvoss by eight lengths.
