Macs Legend heads the field in Tramore Hunter Chase

A field of nine have been declared for the Outcider hunter chase at Tramore this evening.

Won last year by Dimple, the Gerard Kelleher-trained Macs Legend heads the betting for the 2m5f contest having made a winning point-to-point reappearance at Ballynoe on St. Patricks Day before following this win up with a runner-up effort at Cork in a Hunter Chase where he finished only one length behind Oscar Contender.

The ten-year-old son of Blueprint holds some good track form from previous seasons in which he was second on three occasions with his most recent track run coming at Punchestown last may where he was fourth in a handicap chase.

The Seamus Fahey-trained Caniwillyegiveme is another declared that holds some placed track form having been second on three occasions in handicap chases last season.

The nine-year-old won a six-year-old-upwards maiden at Glenbane in November 2015.

Robert Tyner will be represented by recent Quakerstown winner, Gotaway who was also placed at Bandon this season having ran in three maiden hurdles last autumn.

Sliabh Mhuire Lass enters the race on the back of her success at Loughanmore where she defeated Tin Town Liz by two lengths.

The Grainne O’Connor-trained mare also secured victory at Tinahely in November as well as finishing runner-up to Bloodstream at Belclare last month.
