ITM continue sponsorship of P2P Mares Handler Award

Irish Thoroughbred Marketing will continue to sponsor the Point-To-Point Mares Handler Award this year, which allows handlers who have trained a mare to win a point-to-point during the season, to be in with a chance of winning one of the five €1000 vouchers. Which is redeemable on a filly at the Irish store sales next summer.

Each time a handler wins a point-to-point with a mare, they will receive a ticket for the draw. The more wins a handler achieves with mares, the more tickets they will accumulate in the draw. Hence giving them a greater chance of winning overall.

Last year’s winners were Daniel Kenneally, Richard Black, John P O’Callaghan, Thomas A Keogh and Patrick T. Leahy.

Point-to-Point winnings mares have went from strength-to-strength in recent seasons, with graduates such as Shattered Love, Ms Parfois, Maria’s Benefit, Getaway Katie Mai, Listen Dear, Life Boat Mona, Coillte Lass, Threeswallows Nick and Posh Trish etc.. going on to perform at the highest level under rules.
