For Certified Hunters aged 4 years old and upwards, the property of subscribers to any Hunt in Ireland.
Maidens excluded. No Penalties. Mares allowed 5lbs.
For Novice Riders who, at the start of the day, have not ridden more than ten winners under any Rules of Racing or Steeplechasing, including Point to Point Steeplechases.

The open race is confined to novice riders and if THE HOLLINWELL can put his recent disappointing run behind him and come back to the form he showed last year to be crowned Champion pointer he would take all the beating. Becauseicouldntsee could take advantage if the selection is not back to his best and follow up on his Loughrea win. Dantes King is another that should progress from his initial points run and could also go close.
