FEAR THE DEERE is a half-brother to the Grade 2 winning juvenile hurdler Sailors Warn and he travelled strongly into his debut at Turtulla before finishing third in what was a very encouraging introduction. It likely leaves him as the one to beat ahead of Paddy De Pole. He could make a quick return having finished fourth last Saturday in Tyrella, a card that saw his stable record their first success of the season which offers further encouragement. There are also a large number of newcomers in the potential line-up who will be worth a market check pre-race.
