It was a mare that beat the boys in this race last year, and BETWEEN WATERS could ensure that feat is achieved again. She got within three lengths of the reigning champion point-to-pointer Winged Leader at Tinahely last month in a career-best performance, and that is the standout piece of form coming into this. The Blind Piper failed to recapture his very best form last season following a significant absence, but he would have place claims alongside Ballinrea, who admittedly was disappointing last time.
