Challenge Cup presented by the 8th Earl of Roden; also a Silver Perpetual Challenge Cup, presented by Mrs. G. J. Brownlow to
the first Farmer’s Horse past the winning post. The J. H. W. Pooler Memorial Trophy will be presented to the owner of the Best
Turned-Out Horse and £20stg to the Groom in charge of the Best Turned-Out Horse.
For Certified Hunters aged 5 years old and upwards, the property of members or subscribers to the East Down Foxhounds, or are
East Down Farmers as defined by the qualifying Committee of the masters and Messrs. T. Foy, and P . Turley, and in the owners
possession before the 1st January 2006.
Mares allowed 5lbs.
5&6yo Geldings Maiden
Second Race: 2.00 p.m. MAIDEN RACE 5 AND 6 YO GELDINGS
The Goffs Bloodstock Sales 5 & 6 year-old Geldings Maiden Race of €1000 of which the second will receive €200 and the third
€100. The Winner also receives a Silver Perpetual Challenge Cup presented by Mrs. G. A .M. Persse. £10stg to the Groom in
charge of the Best Turned-Out Horse.
For Certified Hunters aged 5 and 6 years old, Geldings only, maidens at starting, the property of subscribers to any Hunt in
Ireland.

Third Race: 2.30 p.m. OPEN LIGHTWEIGHT RACE
The Down District Council Open Lightweight Race of €1500 of which the second will receive €300 and the third €150. The
Winner also receives a Silver Perpetual Challenge Cup, the Wild Forest Trophy presented by Mrs. Terence Johnston. £10stg to
the Groom in charge of the Best Turned-out Horse.
For Certified Hunters aged 5 years old and upwards, the property of subscribers to any Hunt in Ireland.

For Certified Hunters aged 5 years old and upwards, the property of subscribers to any Hunt in Ireland, which have not won a
race under the Rules of Racing or Steeplechasing in any country and not more than two Point to Point Steeplechases of any
description.
