Former Irish pointers Getabird and Hardline fought out a tight battle to the conclusion of the Grade 1 Matchbook Betting Exchange Novices Chase at Limerick.
It was the Gordon Elliott trained Hardline who found most in the run-in to deny the Willie Mullins trained Getabird.
Getabird who appeared to be travelling best made a bad mistake at the last and was no match for the Gigginstown House Stud trained gelding.
Hardline was last seen when winning the Klairon Davis Grade 3 chase at Navan.
The son of Arcadio has now won eight races under rules.
Hardline won his point-to-point maiden at Punchestown for handler Pat Doyle.
It looked all Getabird and Ruby Walsh in the Grade 1 @TeamMatchbook Betting Exchange Novice Chase, until a bad mistake at the last! The tough and classy Hardline the winner at @LimerickRaces for @donoghue_keith and @gelliott_racing... pic.twitter.com/sfcQPXbjnX
