Wexford – native Rob James rode his 200th point-to-point winner at Kinsale on Sunday aboard the Cormac Doyle – trained Presenting Ana.
The former novice champion has enjoyed one of his best seasons to date this term, booting home 43 winners from 179 rides, with a strike rate of 24%. This tally was enough to ensure that James filled the runner-up berth in the race to be over-all leading rider behind Barry O'Neill.
Having ridden a double on the day, Rob James’ career tally now stands at 201 winners from a total of 1207 rides.
Rockey Bender provided him with his first ride back in October 2010 at Kilsheelan, while Donnchadh Doyle supplied an initial career winner at Tinahely in January 2012 aboard Amber Hill.
In fact the Monbeg handler has provided the 2014 Novice Rider champion with 80 of his 201 winners to date.
Colin Bowe has also been a fantastic supporter over the years, with the pair combining for 20 successes, with Sean Doyle responsible for 15 of Rob James winners.
Some of the top performers steered to success by James in their early days between-the-flags include Topofthegame, Monbeg Worldwide, Top Ville Ben, Zero Ten, Burning Ambition and Dlauro.
