Race 1: Knockmullen House Stud & Wexford Hunt 4yo Maiden
DARE TO BEGIN was only beaten two lengths by a more experienced rival on his debut at Portrush last month and he should be able to step up from that opening effort.
The returning Brother Byrne was a late casualty at Tyrella and can bounce back from his disappointing effort most recently, whilst Ocean Drifter and Tommys Oscar are others to have offered promise to date.
Race 2: NitroFert 5yo Geldings Maiden
Denis Murphy could hold the key to this race with BEATTHEBULLET and Baignard and the latter could well have won at Dowth Hall late last month, but for veering to his left on the run-in as he only missed out by a length.
Song Of The Hunter was just a head behind him on that occasion and could well re-oppose leaving that as the principal piece of form, whilst Whitechurch was not able to back up his Portrush debut when turned out again the following week, but may give a better account of himself here.
Race 3: Gain Equine Nutrition 5yo Adjacent Mares Maiden
THE FORGE HILL was outrunning her starting price at Tinahely on her return to action when coming down at the final fence with victory within her grasp. She would be deserving of compensation in this.
Ocean River ran with promise as a four-year-old in Stowlin but has not been seen since finishing tailed off in a Galway bumper 15 months ago, which may leave Shallow Run, who ran two solid races since changing yards mid-season, as the main danger.
Race 4: Cooney Furlong Winner Of One
COLONEL SAM was only headed on the run-in at Dowth Hall and will be fancied to go one place better in this contest. Ryans Fancy and Dream De Dream both won on that same card but step into winners company for the first time, as does Doubleubee, who was promoted to a winner after finishing second in the spring. Vinnies Nephue is therefore likely to be the main danger as he is proven in this grade.
Race 5: Ballywalter Farms Open- Novice Riders
Better B Quick has had a busy start to the new campaign as this could be the 13-year-olds four weekend on the bounce to see competitive action and so it may be the slightly fresher MY STORY that could be the one to follow in this.
He is two from two this season and seems to be very much on an upward curve.
David Christie has his horses in top form at present and Dylrow is new to his stable, and with two wins to his name from earlier in the year, he worthy of note.
Race 6: Horse & Hound Hotel 6yo Maiden
SCOTTISH ACCENT could be set for a quick turnaround after finishing second at Moig South last Sunday, and will look to continue the good recent fortunes for the Michael Murphy stable.
Double Smart was extremely unlucky at Damma House when taken out by a loose horse with victory in her grasp, whilst track returnee Goulane Jessie went close in two races over hurdles at Limerick earlier in the year and Killimorrie ran with plenty of credit on her first start for Gerald Quinn at Portrush.
