The absent Colin Bowe continued his terrific run of success with his team of youngsters by winning the four-year-old maiden with Premiumaccess.

A son of Milan hailing from the same family as former Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Garrison Savannah that was acquired for €50,000 at the 2018 Derby sale, Premiumaccess finished third in the vintage Portrush maiden won by Ballayadam two weeks earlier.

The Milestone Racing Partnership-owned bay forged past Sponthus on the flat and he then kept the rallying French-bred at bay to oblige by a neck to provide Barry O'Neill with the opening leg of a two-timer.

It's probable that Premiumaccess will be seen in new colours when running again.

Barry O'Neill brought up the concluding leg of his two-timer by teaming up with the absent Sean Doyle to win the five-year-old and upwards mares’ maiden with the Monbeg Partnership-owned Style It Out, who was sent off favourite when finishing third on her previous start at Tinahely almost two weeks earlier.

Style It Out always took the eye in running and she led away from the second last. With Geta Present then being in the region of a half-length adrift of Style It Out when making an error at the last, the  winning daughter of Gold Well duly strode clear to dismiss Rosy Story by five lengths.

Handler Doyle's brother Cormac said: “I’d say that she will now go for a winners race in a couple of weeks’ time."

Not Fou Sale, having been placed on three out of his six starts last term, attained his due reward by making a winning return to the fray in the five-year-old geldings’ maiden.

Not Fou Sale was bounced out in front by Johnny Hurley and he made practically all the running.The winning son of Le Fou gamely rose his effort between the final two fences to contain promising newcomer Alaphilippe by one and a quarter lengths.

Winning owners Trish and Peter Powell of Hanford's Chemist Limited incidentally travelled over from Wales the previous evening to stay in Youghal en-route to Kinsale.

"He deserved that as he had the form and he may now go for a hunter chase," said handler Jimmy Mangan.

The Shark Hanlon-trained Mighty Stowaway, an eight-year-old gelding ,who won two chases within the space of six days in November 2018, made a stylish debut between the flags by recording a battling success under Tom Hamilton in the open contest.

Mighty Stowaway went on from before half-way and he led until overtaken by Macs Legend on the run to the second last.

Mighty Stowaway though is nothing but tough and he re-assumed command approaching the last to beat Macs Legend by an increasing three lengths in the familiar Annette Mee silks.

"I thought that he was a bit short of work coming here, but he stays galloping and he will be a nice horse for the hunter chases that he's qualified for this season, " said the winning handler.

The five-year-old Concrete King provided a mild surprise by holding on valiantly in a driving finish with his owner/trainer Sean Allen's younger brother Darragh to eclipse Honest Exchange in the winner-of-one contest.

Concrete King, winner of the adjacent hunts maiden at Knockanard last season, led from six out and he kept recent Tinahely maiden winner Honest Exchange at bay in the closing stages to score by a short head.
The pair returned 10 lengths clear of the only other finisher Shuil Luas.

Handler Allen, who trains three horses at his Araglen base, said: “He loves this soft ground and he would have run well but for falling four out on his first run back at Loughrea last month. He will hopefully now go to Rathcannon in a few weeks’ time."

Owner/trainer Jay Leahy's ex-track performer Its Only Me proved a very appropriately-named winner of the walkover in the six-year-old and upwards adjacent hunts maiden.

The seven-year-old mare was partnered by Johnny Barry and she will now more than likely run at Lisronagh this coming Saturday.
