Weekend Preview | Kirkistown 23rd November

Race 1 - Dennison Commercials Ltd 4yo Maiden

UPANDATIT
outran his big starting price when making up a lot of late ground to finish third in a competitive maiden at Loughanmore last month which would surely leave him as one of the leading contenders for this. Faith Loving stayed on strongly when making his debut at Toomebridge and he could well step up, whilst the Colin Bowe pairing of Getmegold and Erne River both also made the frame on their debuts. The latter caught the eye when coming from off the pace to finish third at Tinahely just last Sunday.

Race 2 – Strangford Arms Hotel 5yo Mares Maiden

OLD DOMINON came up against some of the smart mares that were seen last season such as Minella Melody, Mount Ida and Southern Girl, and having changed hands following her latest placed finish, she could make a winning first outing for the Noel Kelly yard. Double Smart was most unlucky to have been taken out by a loose horse at the final fence in Damma House, and would certainly be a deserving winner, whilst Loughanmore runner-up Ringneill and Portrush second Killimorrie, are other live contenders in a competitive looking race.

Race 3 - Dunlop Homes Ltd 5yo Geldings Maiden

AUTUMN CRUSADE was only beaten by little over two lengths on his first outing for Dermot McLoughlin at Loughanmore last month and he could easily go one place better in this. Beatthebullet was still travelling well when coming down at Knockmullen House a fortnight ago and he looks the big danger for a very much in form yard. Tardree has plenty of experience to call upon, whilst Big Leg Up went close at Moira in the spring.

Race 4 - Wilsons Auctions Winner Of One

CROSSING LINES
is one of six possible last time out winners that could feature in this contest, but he would certainly rank chief amongst them following his impressive debut success at Lisronagh two weeks ago when he ran out a wide-margin winner. Aloneamongmillions does not have the benefit of recent race fitness, having not been seen since he won his maiden back in March at Ballyragget, however he was well-backed and beat three subsequent winners in the process ensuring it is form to note. Thunderosa and the four-year-old winner, Moore Clouds, are others to consider.

Race 5 - Knotts Bakery Open

HOLYCROSS LITO
got the better of Longhouse Music for the second time in her career when making her long-awaited return to the point-to-point fields at Loughanmore last month, and she will look to confirm that form here. Mighty Stowaway won well at Kinsale and would look to be the chief danger, whilst Lomachenko, Eddies Miracle, Mount Colah and Wounded Warrior are others that all feature prominently.

Race 6 - BRG Autohub 6yo Geldings Maiden

William Tyndale has previously finished second in a big field handicap hurdle at Down Royal, however that was back in 2017, and he has struggled since. Whilst this will be his debut for a new yard, preference goes to ACCEPTABLE RISK. He chased home a smart winner for the age group at Lisronagh two weeks ago on what was his first start in two years. Mr Cosmos took a step forward last time and would look next best, alongside Airdrigh.
