Weekend Preview | Ballindenisk 1st December

Race 1 - Chanceit.ie 4yo Maiden

ACROSS THE CHANNEL was unlucky to come down at the final fence on his debut at Lisronagh recently when sure to be among the placings. That would leave him as a big contender for this alongside stable companions Erne River and Getmegold.

Portrush third, Dare To Begin, represents a yard that had a winner in this age group last weekend and so has to be resepcted, alongside the likes of Sneaky Scorpion, Es Perfecto and Fabrique En France.

Race 2 - Johnnys Foodstore and Restaurant, Watergrasshill 5yo Geldings Maiden

THE NEW KID hails from an in-form yard that had a winner in this age group last Sunday and he could well step up to feature prominently in a very wide open race like this.

Get Supreme could certainly bounce having shown promise previously despite having four non-completions to his name, with Da Boy Charilie and Makeshift others that could figure in this.

Race 3 - Ml & Shane O’Riordan Hauliers Watergrasshill and Commercial Vehicle Components Open        Novice Riders

Cork Hunter Chase fourth, Fennos Storm, will need to be back to his best if he is to challenge UCELLO CONTI in this, with the latter, having won his opening three races of last season.

Macs Legend also featured in that Cork Hunter Chase and can get more competitive in this alongside recent winner Mad Jack Mytton and Bandon winner Bandon Bridge.

Race 4 - Noel Loftus Flooring Ltd 5yo Adjacent Maiden

A competitive race for the category with track recruit BARON DU PLESSIS possibly the one to side with having finished placed on no fewer than seven occasions on the track for Ian Williams.

Grange Ranger was in front when coming down at the last around here two years ago when with Paul Cashman, and he returns to points following four unsuccessful outings on the track in England. Now with Jim Dreaper, he too is a contender alongside the in-form mare, Irregularheartbeat and Get Supreme, who offered promise at Lismore.

Race 5 - Buckleys Bar, Whitechurch, Diarmuid and Kathleen Hickey 5yo Mares Maiden

This looks a wide-open race that may offer FIND IT NOW with a good opportunity, as she may be able to get closer than she managed at Knockinroe on her re-appearance.

Lady Violet has not been able to fully back up her Loughrea effort of late but could bounce back in a race like this, whilst Truckers Angel and Rose Iland are others that could get involved.

Race 6 - Gallaghers Gastro Pub, McCurtain Street, Cork Mares Winner Of Two

MT LEINSTER GOLD impressed with her wide-margin success at Dawstown late last season and it would not be a surprise to see her double up in this.

Moore Clouds has the advantage of the four-year-old allowance and won in good style at Durrow, whilst Shul Luas, Chenery and Doyen Queen are other contenders.
