Potters Corner was victorious in the Coral Welsh National at Chepstow and recorded a famous success for his winning connections and handler Christian Williams when storming home clear of his rivals under 7lb claimer Jack Tudor.
The nine-year-old, who is part-owned by Wales rugby union star Jonathan Davies registered his fourth career success, one of which includes the Midlands National at Uttoxeter which he won back in March.
The son of Indian Danehill was given a patient ride by Tudor, whom chose to track Yala Enki and Two Amigos for much of the race, before taking the lead three fences out, the gelding then picked up the pace to go on and win by a comfortable length-and-three-quarters ahead of the Paul Nicholls-trained Truckers Lodge.
Potters Corner began his career with Thomas Cooper when winning his point-to-point maiden at Bartlemy by one-length, before being sold for £30,000 in 2014.
Winning handler Williams told Sky Sports Racing: " Jack gave him the ride I thought he would, I knew what Jack was capable of 12 months ago, so it's no surprise to me the ride he gave the horse."
"He would have ridden him all year but he was injured when he ran in Aintree and Haydock and was back to win on him here the last day."
"You know what ground you are going to get in Chepstow, he relishes the soft conditions, so it was brilliant. We have got a good horse advertising us now on the big days."
