Flemensfirth sires twelfth point winner of the season

Flemensfirth stands at the Beeches Stud for a fee of €15,000. The stallion, who has been standing at the Co. Waterford stud since 2000 is a son of Alleged and was a multiple Group 1. winner in France, he won as a two-year-old before going on to finish runner-up in the Listed Feilden Stakes at Newmarket.

As a three-and-four-year-old, he won the Group 1. Prix Lupin at Longchamp, he then won the Group 1. Premio Roma at Rome and he was also a winner in the Group2. Prix Dollar at Longchamp twice.

The son of Alleged, who was the leading sire in points in 2017/18 with an overall total of 35 winners, sired his twelfth point-to-point winner of the season on Sunday when Beatthebullet ran out a four-length winner in the winner-of-two race at Ballycrystal.
The six-year-old is handled by Denis Murphy, who has already enjoyed success with him this season when winning at Lingstown as a five-year-old in November. The gelding was purchased by owner Alan Harte from the Goffs Landrover sale for €60,000 as a store in 2017.

Flemensfirth has been a consistent producer of some noteworthy winners over jumps since his career began back in 2000. Many of those winners have gone onto be successful at the top level under rules, with a significant number of those winners graduating from points.

Paul Nicholls trains one of Flemensfirth’s most exciting prospects from last season in Topofthegame, who was a nine-length winner of his point-to-point at Belclare for Donnchadh Doyle in 2016, before being sold for £120,000 at the Goffs UK sale and has since gone onto enjoy success in the Grade 3 Betfred Heroes Handicap hurdle at Sandown and the Grade 1 RSA Insurance Novices´ chase at Cheltenham.

Colin Tizzard is also another trainer that has a son of Flemensfirth that has highlighted himself as a very exciting sort in the Tattersalls Farm graduate Lostintranslation.
The eight-year-old gelding won the Grade 2 BetBright Dipper Novices´ chase at Cheltenham and the Grade 1 Betway Mildmay Novices´ chase at Aintree last season. This season he has already found success in a Listed chase at Carlisle in November and the Grade 1 Betfair chase at Haydock.

In recent weeks Flemensfirth has been enjoying further success between the flags, having produced 12 winners and 11 placed runners from 60 runners since the beginning of October.

Arctic Skipper is another of his progeny who enjoyed a successful spell under rules with one of his most notable successes including the Grade 2 Fortria chase at Navan.
He returned to points back in 2018 and in that time has been enjoying a successful run, having won five out his seven runs. In his most recent success, the eleven-year-old beat Grade 1 Cheltenham winner Black Hercules at Boulta in November.

The Sam Curling-trained Knockanora Damsel found success in her five-and-six-year-old mares maiden at Aghabullogue in January when battling it out with No Fame No Game to get up by a short head on the line in the hands of Pa King.
