Jamie Codd bids for more Festival glory
Codd is also looking forward to two other rides throughout the week, on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
"It's nice to be going back with a few rides.
"I enjoy being at Cheltenham, I enjoy all parts of it. It's been good to me, and I'm riding for some good people, both owners and trainers. I'm looking forward to it."
"Obviously, I just want to get over this weekend point-to-pointing, you're never in Cheltenham until you are actually there. I have a few rides booked, and as I say hopefully I get over there!
"I've rides on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I ride one for Gordon, Ravenhill. He runs on Tuesday.
Codd is also set to ride in the Champion Bumper once again, as he bids to complete back-to-back victories in the finale on Wednesday afternoon, where he will once again team up with Gordon Elliott.
"I ride one for Gordon in the bumper on Wednesday."
Codd has some very fond memories of the prestigious festival in both recent years as well as many years ago, where he recalls attending the Prestbury Park venue as a stable lad for Willie Mullins.
"My earliest memory of going to Cheltenham was actually working for Willie Mullins back in the early 2000's. The likes of Rule Supreme winning a Sun Alliance with David Casey, Scolardy winning a Triumph, Missed That won a bumper over there, those are my early memories of actually going to Cheltenham.
"As a young lad watching it on the T.V, what really caught my interest I suppose was when Willie Mullins started going well. He won a couple of champion bumpers there with Florida Pearl and Alexander Banquet. I think Viking Flagship won the 1995 or 1996 Queen Mother. I always enjoyed looking at Cheltenham, it was a big thing in our house."
