Barry O'Neill followed up six victories a week earlier with a Borris House double, the first of which came courtesy of the Colin Bowe-trained Amarillo Sky in the first division of the Goffs UK Aintree Sale four-year-old maiden.

Strongly pressed at the second-last fence by the Ellen Doyle-trained Tag Man, Bowe's gelding dug deep from the back of the last to secure an eventual three-parts of a length success.

"He is a nice horse that I bought from Johnny Collins at the Land Rover sale and he will go to the Cheltenham Sales now," said Bowe.

The second leg of O'Neill's double came in the second division of the Innovotec five-year-old and upwards mares' maiden aboard the Sean Doyle-trained Emma Prada.

In the colours of owner-breeder JJ Kavanagh, the half-sister to Annie Mc led from the drop of the flag and went on to secure a three-length victory over the Patrick Smyth-trained Kates Hill.

"The owner is local to us from Killane and he bred her himself. He has been very good to me. It’s great to get that done," said Doyle.

Jamie Codd and Denis Murphy teamed up to secure a double of their own on the afternoon, with the first leg of their double coming in the second division of the Goffs UK Aintree Sale four-year-old maiden with the impressive debutant, Gars De Sceaux.

Making a bad blunder at the second-last, the son of Saddler Maker showed a good attitude to recover from that mistake to secure a facile six-length success over the Donnchadh Doyle-trained Magic Tricks.

"He is a dude, he has some ability. He is still only a baby, but he is a massive big horse. I bought him from Walter Connors in the Derby Sale and he will go to the sales now," said Murphy.

Breakeven completed the double for the pair, taking the Connolly's Red Mills winner-of-two, following on from his recent Ballycrystal success.

Keeping on strongly in the closing stages, the son of Scorpion went on to secure a ten-length victory over the Ellen Doyle-trained Askthebosslady.

"That was a good run. It is great for the boys that own him, Shay Byrne and Joe Walsh, who also had the five-year-old winner at Tinahely last week (Tucson Train). He will probably be sold now," said Murphy.

Based in America for the past number of seasons, Aaron Sinnott returned between the flags to enjoy success aboard the Ellen Doyle-trained Hidden Commander in the John M. Foley Solicitors five-year-old geldings' maiden.

The son of Shirocco was ultimately one length too good in the closing stages for the Donnchadh Doyle-trained Flame Bearer in second.

"He is a lovely horse and we have thought plenty of him, we will just have to draw a line through the first run. He jumps and did the business for Aaron today. He is back with us for the last month or two before he heads to America again and has been a great addition to the yard," said James Doyle.

Willie Murphy teamed up with Pa King to take the Duninga Gallops five-year-old and upwards adjacent maiden with his daughter of Doyen, Trump Lady, who secured a five-length victory over the Ivan Walker-trained Karlow Joe.

"She is a good tough mare that jumps and gallops, that is what she does. She is a well-bred mare. John (Browne, breeder) would be local too so it is great to get a winner for him and for my mother (Aine) who is quite sick. Hopefully that will be a nice boost for her," said Murphy.

Paul Bannon took the Goresbridge Bloodstock Sales six-year-old and upwards geldings' maiden for novice riders aboard the Claire O'Connell-trained Getzie.

In the colours of the handler’s cousin John, the son of Kalanisi secured a 12-length success over the Philip Rothwell-trained Icy Inferno.

“He was great there, and we will either go for a winners' race or a hunter chase now," said O'Connell.
