Weekend Preview | Dromahane Sun 22nd March 2020

DUHALLOW (F) at Dromhane on 22nd March

First Race: 14:00 pm
Number of Entries: 122

Race 1 - Goffs UK Aintree Sale 4yo Maiden

JUST A DIME finished second to the well-regarded Brandy Love on debut at Cragmore in mid-February. Although beaten eight lengths on that occasion, the son of Doyen is bound to improve for that encouraging debut effort, and could well take all the beating in this contest based on that evidence.

Others to note include Slievegar, Rajsalad and Barrichello.

Race 2 - Singletons of Hollyhill 5yo Mares Maiden

Beaten just a half-a-length in second on debut at Carrigarostig, LATINO FLING could well be able to go one spot better this time around for the Matt Collins team. The form of that contest has since stood up, with the third placed horse, Cailin Dearg winning at Bandon a number of weeks ago. Her biggest dangers could well be Caletta Storm, Sheer Liss and Aizy Does It.

Race 3 - Winner Of One

HEYDOUR took a six-year-old geldings maiden at Cragmore last month by two lengths, and on that evidence, it looks like he should have no issue in being competitive in this winner-of-one contest.

The most obvious dangers on paper look to be Keep Stormin, Mongol Emperor, Wont Talk and Dubai Daisy.

Race 4 - Goffs UK Aintree Sale 5yo Geldings Maiden

FLAME BEARER made a promising debut at Borris House recently for the Donnchadh Doyle team, finishing second to Hidden Commander. Beaten just one length on that occasion, the son of Fame And Glory is likely to improve for that effort, and could well go one spot better this time around.

His most obvious dangers look to be Bourbon Street, Pay The Piper and The Gossiper.

Race 5 - 6yo Mares Maiden

NEW MONEY was denied by just a short-head at Kildorrery last month by Blue Sans. Karlie finished fifth in that contest, and has since won at Ballyarthur. Given that evidence, the Eugene O'Sullivan-trained daughter of Malinas gets the nod to go one place better on this occasion.

Her biggest dangers look to be Blue Milan, Rosy Story and Honest To Goodness.

Race 6 - 6yo Geldings Maiden

The Bonny Boy, the locally-trained Presenting Point and Jeremy Central have all finished second on their most recent starts, and all look to have a chance in what looks to be an open contest, but it could be the former, who was not beaten far at Cragmore that could be the one to side with.
