Envoi Allen back to winning ways

Envoi Allen could not have been more impressive on his season return at Down Royal when winning the Join Racing Tv’s Grade 2 Chase in the hands of Rachel Blackmore. 

The dual Cheltenham Festival hero did not put a foot wrong under his rider with a faultless round of jumping from the front. 

The seven-year-old son of Muhtathir fell in the Grade 1 Marsh Chase at Cheltenham and then pulled up in the Dooley Insurance Grade 1 Chase at Punchestown last season looked back to himself with an impressive performance. 

It was found that he had chipped his hind joint which required surgery, the operation took place at Fethard Equine Clinic in the spring and he recovered well over the summer. 

Envoi Allen started his career with Colin Bowe when winning his point-to-point maiden in impressive fashion at Ballinaboola and then subsequently changed hands for £400,000 to Tom Malone.
