Mahler sires 11th winner of the season

Mahler has enjoyed a successful season siring 11 point-to-point winners to date with just one more weekend of pointing left to go. The Coolmore Stud stallion, son of Galileo, stands at Beeches Stud for a 2019 fee of €5,500.

His most recent pointing success came on Saturday at Tralee when Save Us Avis recorded victory in the older mares maiden for Peter Flood who recorded an across the card double on the day.

Mahler's progeny also include the likes of Ms Parfois, If You Say Run and Annie Mc.

The Anthony Honeyball-trained Ms Parfois has recorded six success under rules to date including two listed races last season. The mare has earned over £140,000 in prize money and cost €40,000 as a five-year-old having won her debut point for Martin Hassett.

If You Say Run is another of Mahler's progeny to win her debut point. The seven-year-old recorded success in Ballinaboola for Ashleigh Murphy and Mark Scallan before making £80,000 at the Cheltenham sales.  Since then the mare has been under the care of Paul Nicholls, recording four successes and placing in Grade 2 company in the UK.

Annie Mc recorded two fine runs in Irish points placing second both times for Sean Doyle last spring. Tom Malone subsequently purchased the mare for €20,000 and she has gone on to be a very consistent performer under rules this season for Jonjo O'Neill. From six starts in between the rails in the UK, the daughter of Mahler has recorded two wins and been placed four times.
