Race 1 - Tattersalls Cheltenham 4yo Maiden
RIDE THE STORM came up against two more experienced types when he made his debut earlier this month and was the first of the newcomers to finish. That initial effort should leave him as one of the leading contenders for this. The Colin Bowe pairing of Getmegold and Erne River both also made the frame on their debuts. The latter caught the eye when coming from off the pace to finish third at Tinahely just last Sunday, whilst the Dare To Begin and the quick returning Junior Rattler are others for the shortlist.
Race 2 - Wright Insurance & GAIN Equine Nutrition 5yo Mares Maiden
MIDWAY TO GETAWAY made a very encouraging debut at Moig South at the beginning of the month staying on well to chase home the well-bred Immortality. She would be expected to go close in this. Ulterior Motives has plenty of experience to call upon, whilst Getapresent and Pay The Woman are others that could feature.
Race 3 - Keating Horse Transport 5yo Geldings Maiden
BEATTHEBULLET was still going well when coming down inside the final half mile at Knockmullen House a fortnight ago, in the same race that the potentially re-opposing Milanford finished second. They would look the principal contenders, whilst What About Time was a beaten favourite in Damma House and Choctaw Brave could be set to make a quick re-appearance as he finished second just last Sunday at Tinahely.
Race 4 - Neville Hotels Open 4yo (4yo Mdns Excl) (Banks Course)
VITAL ISLAND won around here in March 2018, and he will no doubt have benefitted for his run over the banks at Punchestown last Sunday when seventh behind Yanworth. Better B Quick and Ballinasilla are some of the other leading contenders with form over this course. The former, who has already won two races this season, finished second in this race two years ago, whilst Ballinasilla was third here in the spring and also placed at the Punchestown Festival.
Race 5 - Cooney Furlong Grain Ltd & Kilmore Potatoes Ltd Winner Of Two
CROSSING LINES is one of six possible last time out winners that could feature in this contest, but he would certainly rank chief amongst them following his impressive debut success at Lisronagh two weeks ago when he ran out a wide-margin winner. Super Citizen ended last season on a high when winning his second race at Kinsale, Vinnie Nephue won well at Knockmullen House recently, whilst Moore Clouds is a four-year-old winner and so has to be respected.
Race 6 - Inish Pebble Company Ltd 6yo Maiden
ON CALL returns to point-to-points with a mark of 111 over hurdles which should see him have little trouble winning an older maiden, having previously finished second in this sphere as a four-year-old. He has the standout form ahead of his stable debut. Airdrigh finished third behind The Bolder Boy at Loughanmore, but has an easier alternative entry at Kirkistown, as too does Acceptable Risk, who returned from a long absence to finish second at Lisronagh. Mr Cosmos, Call It Time and Mr Cosmos are other contenders.
