Weekend Preview | Durrow Sat 21st March 2020

BROSNA (F) at Durrow on 21st March 2020

First Race:13:00pm
Number of Entries: 107

Race 1 - Kilmurray Hardware 4yo Mares Maiden

LETTHETRUTHBEKNOWN kept on well to finish fourth in a competitive mares maiden and that would be some of the stronger form on offer in this race.

Light Heidi and Ka Ching are others with a completed opening effort to their names, but it may be the newcomers that offer more promise.

Race 2 - Kilmurray Hardware 4yo Mares Maiden

CAPTAIN MUNDI ran a very respectable race on his debut in an Oldtown race which featured some nice types. He may find things easier here in auction maiden company. Bolamore Bridge may be the pick of the opposition from those with a previous run, as he finished third in a similar contest at Tyrella a fortnight ago.

Race 3 - Kilmurray Hardware 4yo Mares Maiden

NOTHIN TO ASK may have disappointed slightly when a beaten favourite at Aghabullogue most recently, however his autumn form in four-year-old maidens would certainly see him up to winning a race like this.

There are plenty of potential challengers, however, with not a lot likely separating Rarintogo, Francesco Du Clos, Ballycorr and Blame The Game.

Race 4 - Connollys Red Mills & ITBA 6yo Mares Maiden

SHANAVOUN LADY has not been seen since chasing home Katoune Tara in a competitive Borris House maiden before Christmas. Her conqueror on that occasion has advertised the form by running a big race against two notable four-year-old winners in the recent point-to-point bumper at Gowran Park, and that would seem a notable piece of form here.

This has a very competitive look to it on paper however, and there are plenty of potential alternatives, including the twice runner-up New Money, the consistent Honest Opinion, alongside Cappajune Lady and Bodeenbelle, who both came to grief in the closing stages recently.

Race 5 - Dunnes Stores & Tullamore Agri 6yo Geldings Maiden

PRESENTING POINT went close at Ballycahane on his latest outing and would seem the one to beat. Reinvent could be turned out quickly as he finished second for the second start in succession at Ballyragget last Sunday.

Whilst not quite matching his opening effort at Nenagh, he had gone close at Nenagh and is certainly a danger. The New Kid is another who was not quite at his best most recently, but he too has stronger form in the book from earlier in the season and would enter the equation if recapturing his two Ballindenisk efforts.

Race 6 - DPD Mares Winner Of One

THEDABBER enters this unbeaten having gone opened her account at the first time of asking in Ballycahane earlier this month.

That was a very promising effort and she could be expected to follow up here. Dubai Daisy is a competitive mare and has to be considered a danger, Tinahely winner Kopolov ran well against geldings at Punchestown, whilst of the other last time out maiden winners, Cailin Dearg and No Fame No Game both have to be respected.
