Brother of Dromahane winner Jonbon to be offered at Arqana

Jonbon became the most expensive horse sold at public auction after winning in the point-to-point fields when he breezed to an impressive 15-length success and buyers will have the opportunity to acquire his two-year-old full brother at the upcoming Arqana Autumn Sale.

Ellmarie Holden’s four-year-old, who is a an own-brother of the eight-time Grade 1 winner Douvan, eased his way to a wide-margin success on his debut at Dromahane earlier in the month, before being snapped up by JP McManus for £570,000.

Following that impressive success purchasers will now be turning their attentions to the next generation of this high class family, with his two-year-old own brother by Walk In The Park having been consigned by Haras d’Haspel as lot 601.

Young national hunt stock will be offered across two days at the Autumn Sale on November 17 and 18 and no fewer than 87 of these are half/full siblings to a black type performer and 40 are out of Group/Listed winning or placed mares.

A total of 151 two-year-old stores, which includes Jonbon, will be offered on Tuesday November 17, with horse in training opening the week on Monday November 16, National Hunt yearlings on Wednesday November 18 and the National Hunt Breeding Stock session on Thursday November 19.

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, all people wishing to gain access to the Arqana Sales grounds during the Autumn Sale must fill in an access request form which can be completed online by clicking HERE.

Online bidding is also available for the sale.
