I.N.H.S. Committee stewards report from Golden Vale (F) Point to Point meeting Sunday 19th November 2023.
The Stewards interviewed Mr A.T. Feeney, rider of Believe That, placed second, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of the five-year-old and upwards maiden.
Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted he was in breach of Regulation 58.
Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 58. 3.(h) in that he had used the whip with his arm above shoulder height.
Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Mr. A.T. Feeney for one Point to Point raceday.
