Bowe Wins Handler Title for 13th Time

Colin Bowe enjoyed another a successful season with 38 winners and will be crowned leading handler for the 13th time and his consecutive win since 2015.

He had five winners on the final weekend of the season, he had a treble on the opening day at Ballingarry with The Great Nudie winning the four-year-old mares maiden in the hands of Bertie Finn.

The pair were again in the winners enclosure with Stuntman Steve winning the five-year-old geldings maiden in good style.

Sophie Carter brought up the treble for the Wexford handler when winning the Winners of One Novice Riders race aboard Haggard.

Finn & Bowe were in action again at Inchydoney when combining to have a double on the final day of the season. The pair were first off the mark when winning the winners of two contest with Divilskin. 

The pair didn’t have to wait long to get up the double with Doyen Evening winning the very next race on the card, the five-year-old and upwards mares maiden.   

He gave five riders winners this season, Barry O’Neill (23), Bertie Finn (6), Rob James (5), Sophie Carter (3) and Eoin Staples (1).

Colin Bowe got hunter certs for 150 horses this season.

The point-to-point handlers award was introduced in 2008 and Colin Bowe won his first title in 2010.
