Goffs Confirm Coral Gold Cup Sale at Newbury Racecourse

Following last year’s highly successful launch of the Coral Gold Cup Sale on Newbury’s Coral Gold Cup Day, Goffs and Newbury Racecourse are pleased to confirm the sale will take place this year on Saturday 30 November.

Last year’s inaugural sale saw 13 of the 18 sold horses achieve six-figure prices – driving an impressive average of £119,167. Newbury proved a superb location for the auction with their time-honoured Coral Gold Cup drawing all the leading owners and trainers and this year will see some improvements to the sale, with horses to be stabled in the racecourse stables and the sale to be held in the pre-parade ring, right opposite the owners and trainers’ facility.

Shaun Hinds, Chief Executive of Newbury Racecourse, welcomed the return of the Goffs Coral Gold Cup Sale to the showcase meeting.

Year on year the meeting attracts top quality National Hunt horses, and leading owners and trainers alike.
