A superb catalogue is being prepared for the Goffs Coral Gold Cup Sale at Newbury with another boutique selection of top end pointers due to be offered after racing this Saturday, 30 November.

Goffs returned to Newbury to great acclaim last year and it is clear vendors enjoyed the results which has led to their support with top class entries for a sale that is linked to an outstanding days racing.

Recent point-to-point meetings have produced 17 entries for Saturday’s sale which will take place at Newbury Racecourse on Coral Gold Cup Day and will be held immediately after racing in the Owners & Trainers facility (last race 3.35pm). Inspections will be open on Friday and Saturday with showing to take place next to the racecourse stables.

The case for buying a Goffs PTP graduate is as strong as it has ever been given the exploits of the unbeaten Champion CONSTITUTION HILL and the multiple Grade 1 winner JONBON. With 14 Grade 1 victories between them, and counting, they are the ultimate example of what can be found at Goffs’ PTP sales. The catalogue for 2024 will offer:

- Only For Our Man (4YO G by Yeats), winner of his most recent PTP for Stuart Crawford at Kirkistown.

Goffs UK Managing Director Tim Kent commented:

“We have had a very good response to the Coral Gold Cup Sale from the PTP handlers and have assembled a strong catalogue of horses to offer on Saturday. The sale got off to a great start last year and that has given vendors added confidence in the venue this time around.

“Last week saw graduates from last year’s inaugural sale notch up a winning double courtesy of The Bluesman for Paul Nicholls and First Confession for Joe Tizzard, so it’s an exciting time for this young sale both in the ring and on the track, and we look forward to seeing everyone at Newbury on Saturday.”
