Ballindenisk and Tinahely get the go-ahead

Image © Healy Racing

After a 12-day break with no point-to-point action due to the recent cold snap, racing returns to the pointing fields today, with both Ballindenisk and Tinahely passing precautionary inspections on Saturday morning.

An additional 8.30am raceday inspection was required as both venues were still partially unraceable when inspected on Friday afternoon, but the temperatures have risen sufficiently to allow the remaining frost to come out of the ground.

Both fixtures are scheduled to get underway at 12.30pm, declarations and fast results will be available as usual throughout the day here.

The ground at Tinahely remains Soft, whilst the ground is Soft to Heavy in Ballindenisk.

The situation was not as positive at Turtulla, with the Clonmel Harriers fixture, scheduled to take place on Sunday, having to be postponed as the course is still covered in snow.

Action at the Tipperary venue will now take place next Saturday, January 18th.
