RIP | Jerome Power

We were very sorry to learn of the passing of Dungarvan native Jerome Power.  Jerome a graduate of the pony racing circuit had a handful rides in point-to-points.

He had his initial success at Dungarvan point-to-point in January 2020 aboard Bushypark carrying the colours of his father Edmund Power for trainer Shane O'Brien.

Jerome’s brother Kieran is also a point-to-point jockey.

We wish to offer our deepest condolences to his parents Edmund and Eunice and brothers Micheál and Kieran and to all his family and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Jerome, passed away on the 12th of May, 2025. Beloved son of Edmund and Eunice and adored brother of Micheál and Kieran.

Jerome is deeply mourned and sadly missed by his heartbroken parents, brothers, grandmother Ethna Sheehan, aunts Evie Flynn, Emily Sheehan, Mary Flynn, Catherine and Claire Power, uncles Jim, John and Mark Power, grandaunts, granduncles, cousins, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Jerome will be reposing at his home, Powersfield House (X35 FK71) on Thursday afternoon, 15th May, from 4 p.m.
Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. on Friday morning, 16th May, in St. Mary’s Parish Church, Dungarvan. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
