CAFRE horse racing simulator training

Take your race riding skills to the next level with hands-on simulator training sessions at CAFRE, led by professional jockey and expert coach Paddy Flood.

First up, is a half-day simulator training for jockeys and Work riders.

What to expect:
Horse Racing Simulator Session

- Experience real-time race scenarios and key simulator features
- Learn how simulators enhance jockey training
- Practice controlling horse speed and direction
- Improve muscle memory, balance, and racing technique

Starting Technique and Race Craft


- Master correct posture and race-start timing
- Train your reaction speed and cornering skills
- Develop race strategies: positioning, pacing, and overtaking

Horse Racing Simulator Training for 13-15 year olds.


This course is ideal for those with an interest in pursuing a career in riding racehorses or those who are working towards becoming a jockey that want to enhance their riding skills with advanced simulation technology and expert coaching. The course is led by expert jockey and coach Paddy Flood. It offers hands-on experience using the Mark 10 state-of-the-art horse racing simulator.

Course date: Friday 31 October 2025

Time: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Cost: £30 for half day sessions- spaces will be limited

Age requirement: For 13-15 year olds
