Entries for the Down Royal Hunters Chase on Tuesday 17th March close on Thursday 12th March at 12 noon.

Winner will receive €6,600 (Penalty Value: €6,479) Second will receive €2,200 Third will receive €1,100 Fourth will receive €550 Fifth will receive €330 Sixth will receive €220 

A steeplechase for † Certified Hunters five years old and upwards that have not won more than one Steeplechase confined to Certified Hunters and that have been placed first, second, third or fourth in a Certified Hunters Steeplechase in Ireland or in a Point-to-Point Steeplechase in Ireland between 1st October, 2022 and 11th March, 2026.

€110 to enter, €11 extra if declared to run

Mares allowed............................................. 7lbs Penalty - (to count from 1st January, 2024) Winner of a steeplechase.....................7lb extra Exclusions - Horses that have won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing other than (a) Farmers Races or (b) Certified Hunters Steeplechases. 

Riders: Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules. 

† A Hunters Certificate valid in accordance with Rule 78 for the 2025/2026 season for each horse engaged must be registered at the Office of the INHSC, The Curragh, Co. Kildare, not later than 11th March, 2026 or the horse is not qualified to start.
