Mark Lynch is from a real racing family with both of his parents having held a jockey and trainers license, and father Martin saddling Oscar Time to finish second in the 2011 Aintree Grand National. Lynch recorded his first winner aboard Flash Eddie at Durrow point-to-point in March 2009. With a season's best total of eight winners from the 2012/13 campaign, the Westmeath native has ridden winners for the likes of George Stewart, Ian Ferguson, and his father, whilst he also guided Moon Racer to win the €100,000 Tattersalls Ireland Sales Bumper at Fairyhouse in 2014 for Michael Ronayne.
