Moira McElligott recorded her first winner at Rathcannon in September 2010 aboard Chrisdonlady, a horse that carried her own colours. The Veterinary Surgeon, who is married to handler Willie Murphy, is also a very talented boxer as an Irish Elite Champion who has represented her country at European Boxing Championships. Three successes during the shortened 2019/20 season saw her win a first Ladies title, an award that she shared with former champions Maxine O'Sullivan and Liz Lalor.
