Having made his pointing debut at Lingstown in November 2010, Eddie Keating got off the mark at his local course Ballinaboola in Novebmer 2013. The victory was extra-special for the Wexford native, as it was also his first as a trainer. Keating also had leading open performer Eddies Miracle under his care during the early part of his career, sending him out to win his maiden, also at Ballinaboola.  this was not only his first winner in the saddle but also as a trainer. Eddie has also spent some time riding on the National Steeplchase circuit in the US, where he has enjoyed plenty of success, finishing second in the $100,000 Maryland Cup.
