Lar O'Carroll, who made his pointing debut in February 2011, rode for the likes of Sam Curling and Robert Tyner during his early season's race-riding, and it was Tyner who supplied him with his first success aboard Simple Steps at Nenagh in January 2015. Eight winners throughout the 2017/18 campaign ensured it was his best campaign to date, including a second career double at Portrush.
