The Tony Martin-trained Imperial Trix provided Paddy McGuigan with his point-to-point debut at Ballinaboola in January 2016, and in that debut season, McGuigan also rode in Merano, Italy. A first points winner followed aboard Adamstown for Colin McKeever and Wilson Dennison at Kirkistown in November 2017. Paddy McGuigan recorded his first point-to-point success on the Colin McKeever-trained Adamstown on the 18th of November 2017 at Kirkistown. That 2017/18 season has been most successful to date with five winners from 34 rides.
