Shane Fenelon had his first ride in February 2018 aboard the Peter Croke-trained Open The Wallet at Ballinaboola. The Wicklow native, who has spent a time working with Coolmore, has worked for Croke, John McConnell and Shark Hanlon, with the latter providing him with his first winner on a memorable day at Stradbally in 2019. That first success aboard Urban Legend was followed 30 minutes later when Rudy Catrail provided him with a first career double. In Spring 2021, Fenelon made the switch to the professional ranks.
