Aubrey McMahon is the son of well-known owner Luke McMahon, who is closely associated with the Willie Mullins team. It was for the Closutton trainer that McMahon rode his first track winner, Rio Treasure, at Listowel in 2014 at the age of 16. Whiskey Sour & Uradel have provided him with back-to-back E100,000 Amateur Handicaps at the Galway Races in 2017 & 2018, whilst his pointing debut came at Ballindenisk in December 2018 aboard the former Graded winner Alelchi Inois. It was Gordon Elliott's Its All Guesswork that supplied him with an initial pointing victory at Damma House in November 2021.
