The son of point-to-point handler Gary McGill, Oran McGill reached the final of an All-Ireland Minor Football Championship, with his Derry side loosing out to Kerry at Croke Park in September 2017. The Maghera native made his point-to-point debut at Kirkistown aboard his father`s open horse Milan Flyer in February 2019. Two months and just three rides later, that 13-year-old veteran performer would provide him with his first career success at Moira in April 2019.
