A student at CAFRE College in Enniskillen, it was on one of the collge's own horses, Notnowlove, that Sorcha Woods made her point-to-point debut aboard, when the pair finished third in a winner-of-two race at Portrush in March 2019. It was one of the college's local handlers, David Christie, who provided her with her opening success at her home track of Punchestown when Horendus Hulabaloo won the novice riders open on the card. The pair gaining a deserved success having been narrowly denied by stable companion Eddie's Miracle at Borris House three months earlier. Woods has since becoming an Apprentice Jockey on the flat.
