In his role with Henry de Bromhead,  Alan Harney led up the Grade 1 Albert Bartlett Hurdle winner, Minella Indo, at the 2019 Cheltenham Festival a fortnight before he made his own debut in the saddle in the point-to-point fields when riding Arch Chancelor at Lisronagh. Donnchadh Doyle's Er Dancer supplied the Kilkenny native with his opening success when they won an open at Turtulla in November 2021.
