Andrew Burke Ott had his first ride in point-to-points at Dromahane in December 2020 aboard his father's Blackprint and it was another horse trained by his father Alex, Zela Bella that provided him with his initial victory when they won a mares' maiden at Lisronagh in March 2022. Later that year, the Cork native also added a first track success when Inchidaly Copper won a handicap hurdle at Downpatrick in June 2022.
