Skryne Gallops are situated in Co. Meath between Navan and Dunshaughlin just off the old N3 and 5 minutes from the M3 motorway at Junction 7 or 10 minutes from the N2 at Rathfeigh Cross. We are just below the hill of Skryne, looking across at a wonderful view of the famous Hill of Tara.
- The Gallop itself has a Sand/Fibre Surface
- Shaped in a figure “9”
- With a straight gradual uphill climb of 4 furlongs
- onto a 4 furlong round circuit.
We also have excellent schooling facilities for young horses –
all on a sand /fibre surface:
SCHOOLING: 4 French-style hurdles uphill which give horses great confidence with their jumping.
BEGINNER SCHOOLING: A round arena with a small log in the middle, and a log and 2 brush fences on the circuit
which can all be jumped bothways. Also in arena are show-jumping poles etc.
LOOSE SCHOOLING:In the indoor arena, on the one side uprights and poles, with a brush fence on the other side.
OTHER FACILITIES:A wash area, an 8 horse walker, and a sand arena to give the horses a roll after work.
There’s plenty of space to park.
