Weekend Preview | Cragmore 15th February 2020

Race 1 - Tattersalls Ireland 4yo Maiden

Denis Murphy and Colin Bowe have already had four-year-old success this year, and with both yards are strongly represented by 11 horses between them. The market should prove the best guide to this bunch of newcomers.

Race 2 - Gouldings & High Design Askeaton 5yo Mares Maiden

ROSA GLORIOSA finished a good second when last seen at Kinsale back in June where she chased home Presenting Ana.

Despite lacking a recent run, she would look to set the standard for this, whilst No Fame No Game, Timeless Beauty, and Idsayso have some creditable runs to their names of late and any market support should be noted.

Race 3 - Heiniken 5yo Geldings Maiden

SUNSET WEST has been placed on his two starts to date, both at Boulta and Carrigarostig, and another similar effort could see him get his head in front.

The Whistle Blower slipped up early on his last start at Ballycrystal, and he had some respectable runs to his name prior to that effort, whilst The Silent Trainer and Bourbon Street are others to take note of.

Race 4 - Kerry Agri & Fitzsinage Printers Open

Joining open company this season has paid dividends for the connections of LITE DUTIES. The Sam Curling-trained gelding has won on his past two starts, and there is no evidence to suggest that he cannot complete his bid for a hat trick here.

Reigning Supreme has been a model of consistency of late, whilst other possible dangers include the likes of Samanntom and Macs Legend.

Race 5 - Rusal Aughinish & P J Dore Ltd 6yo Mares Maiden

There was plenty of like about the performance that SHANAVOUN LADY produced on her debut run at Borris House back in December, where she finished second to Katoune Tara on that occasion, beaten by just five lengths.

Lawlors Choice is another one for the shortlist, having shown good improvement on recent form on his last start, whilst Awesome Lady and Rachels Surprise will be sure to have their supporters, and any market moves could be interesting.

Race 6 - Stonehall Harriers & Adare Heritage 6yo Geldings Maiden

THE BONNY BOY has not been beaten far in each of his latest two outings, including a narrow defeat in testing conditions at Carrigarosig most recently.

He would be a deserving winner of this for the Costello team. Heydour has some decent runs under his belt inside the rails in Britain, and any market support could be interesting, whilst The Holmeister and Go Yeats are others to keep a close eye on in this contest.
