Appreciate It who finished runner-up in the Cheltenham Festival Champion Bumper registered his first Grade 1 victory when landing the Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown in the hands of Paul Townend.
The son of Jeremy who was close up for most, took up the running approaching the straight and powered on gamely in the straight for nine-length victory over fellow pointer Irascible.
This was only his second start over hurdles having only won a maiden hurdle at Cork last month.
The now Willie Mullins trained gelding started his career with Pat Doyle, he finished third behind Envoi Allen on his debut at Ballinaboola and then won his maiden at Dromahane the following month.
