Honeysuckle made it back-to-back victories in the Chanelle Pharma Irish Grade 1 Champion Hurdle at Leopardstown in the hands of Rachael Blackmore.
The seven-year-old is now unbeaten on her eleven starts to date which includes six Grade 1 victories to her name.
The Kenneth Alexander owned mare relished the underfoot conditions and quickened clear from her rivals from the back of the second last and kept on gamely for a comfortable victory over Abacadabras.
This was arguably her most impressive performance to date when running out a ten-length winner.
Bought by Mark O'Hare for just €9,500 the 2017 Derby Sale, the daughter of Sulamani won a four-year-old mares' maiden on debut at Dromahane the following April for her handler, Gerry Cosgrave.
Ridden by O'Hare on that occasion, she won in by a very convincing 15 lengths at a course that has thrown up numerous Grade 1 winners down through the years.
Following that success she changed hands for €110,000 to owner Kenneth Alexander and joined the Co. Waterford stable of Henry De Bromhead.
