Placed pointers feature heavily in Tattersalls Online catalogue

A total of 90 lots have been catalogued, including a number of point-to-pointers with recent placed form, for the Tattersalls Online March Sale on 18 – 19 March and the catalogue is now available to view at www.tattersallsonline.com. 
 
With the National Hunt season reaching its pinnacle at the Cheltenham Festival this week, the Online March Sale is aptly headlined by the Point-to-Point & National Hunt Bumper Session featuring 13 lots. 
 
The headline session includes six four-year-olds, five of whom won or placed on debut and six winning or placed five-year-olds. Drafts feature from leading Irish and English point-to-point handlers including James Doyle’s Baltimore Stables, Denis Murphy’s Ballyboy Stables, Robert Tector’s Coolbawn Stables, Cormac Doyle’s Monbeg Stables and Stuart Crawford’s Newlands Farm. 
 
Highlights of the session include Paul O’Flynn’s Bon Bon Fizz, a fifteen-length bumper winner at Thurles on his most recent start. Robert Tector offers smart filly ORDERANDOUT who finished a strong second on debut at Lingstown. 
 
James Doyle consigns four-year-old gelding Power Of Authority. Meanwhile, Cormac Doyle’s Monbeg Stables has placed four-year-old Send Em Running, who was also second at Lingstown last weekend and Denis Murphy will offer Noble Fleet who was second on debut at Tinahely.
 
An exciting opportunity presents itself in 2026 Aintree Grand National entrant Harry Des Ongrais consigned by Henry de Bromhead’s Knockeen Racing. 
 
The son of Crillon, who boasts an official IHRB chase rating of 140, finished third in the Grade 2 Dorans Pride Novice Hurdle before graduating to finish runner-up in the Grade 3 Hugh McMahon Memorial Novice Chase at Limerick as well as finishing third in the Listed Foxrock Handicap Chase at Navan.
 
Other notable lots in the sale include:
 
- Stuart Williams’ fast-improving three-year-old Who’s On First, winner of two of his last three starts.
- Moyowasi, impressive winner on his last two starts for trainer Ian Williams.
- Consistent performer Trouble Man, a winner over five and six furlongs, consigned by Rix Racing.
- Promising bumper performer Kayleigh placed fourth on both starts to date for trainer Robert Stephens.
- Three-time Listed placed hurdler Ottizzini, a mare by Sea Moon from the family of Grade 1 Tolworth Hurdle winner Shake Em Up’Harry.
 
The select offering of broodmares in the sale features the high-class national hunt performer Anna Bunina, consigned by Rockview Stables. A multiple winner under both codes, the daughter of Poet’s Voice won the Grade 2 Scottish Champion Hurdle at Ayr and gained significant black type when finishing runner-up in the Grade 1 Annie Power Mares Champion Hurdle at the Punchestown Festival. 
 
She is out of the Listed placed Russian Society, herself a daughter of Group 2 winner and Group 1 Irish Oaks runner-up Russian Snows.
 
The Tattersalls Online March Sale features drafts from Brian Meehan, Charlie Fellowes, Clive Cox, Davis Bloodstock, Dylan Cunha, Ed Walker, Harry Derham, Heather Main, Iain Jardine, Jack Jones, James Fanshawe, James Ferguson, Jessica Harrington, John and Sean Quinn, Martinstown Stud, Michael Bell, Michael Attwater, Mountarmstrong Stud, Peter Chapple-Hyam, Robert Cowell, Rod Millman, Simon Dow, Tom Dascombe, Urloxhey Stables and William Haggas.
