Success for My Oakclahome at Downpatrick

The David O’Brien trained My Oakclahome landed the Molson Coors Maiden Hunters Chase at Downpatrick in the hands of Cathal Healy.

The 5/1 shot was raced mainly in third before making smooth headway to lead approaching the second last.  The son of Dansant had to work hard in the closing stages to keep the long-time leader Nabraska at bay.

The Denis Tarrant-owned gelding has been a solid performer for connections this season.
He shed his maiden tag at Lisronagh in March and performed well on his latest outing at Curraghmore when only beaten three parts of a length when stepping up to winners company behind Solo Cargo.

The favourite Different Spot from the Enda Bolger stable lost his place when making a mistake at the fourth last and was soon pulled up.
